A Petrobras assinou contrato para fornecimento de água de reuso para o Gaslub, localizado em Itaboraí, a partir do tratamento de efluentes da Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto de São Gonçalo (ETE-São Gonçalo), operada pela Aegea.

No Brasil, este é o maior projeto de reuso de água em área industrial. A previsão é que as obras de adequação da ETE – São Gonçalo sejam iniciadas pela Aegea no segundo semestre de 2024.

“A implantação do projeto permitirá que os ativos industriais do Gaslub sejam abastecidos por água produzida a partir do esgoto doméstico tratado. Dessa forma, a atividade industrial terá uma fonte inesgotável e sustentável de água” explica o diretor de Processos Industriais e Produtos, Wiliam França.

A disponibilização da água de reuso para o Gaslub deve ocorrer a partir do segundo semestre de 2026. A partir de então, a unidade deixará de consumir água potabilizável (água que pode se tornar potável, após tratamento convencional), que poderá ser direcionada para consumo humano.

A previsão do início das operações de processamento de gás no Polo GasLub está mantida para ocorrer em 2024, em conformidade com o Plano Estratégico 2023-2027. As demais Unidades necessárias para o início dessas operações, como unidades auxiliares localizadas no Polo GasLub, dutos submarino e terrestre, já estão com o escopo concluído, em fase de comissionamento final ou pré-operação. O Projeto Integrado Rota 3, do qual faz parte a UPGN, é estratégico para a Petrobras e para o país, pois viabilizará o escoamento e processamento de até 21 milhões de m³/dia de gás natural produzido no Polo pré-sal da Bacia de Santos e o incremento da oferta de gás natural para o mercado brasileiro, reduzindo a dependência às importações de GNL.
