A TechnipFMC recebeu um importante contrato integrado de Engenharia, Aquisição, Construção e Instalação (iEPCI™) da Petrobras para entregar o projeto Mero 3 HISEP®, que utiliza processamento submarino para capturar gases densos ricos em dióxido de carbono e depois injetá-los no reservatório .

A TechnipFMC, em parceria com a Petrobras, avançou na qualificação de algumas das principais tecnologias necessárias para entregar o processo HISEP® (Separação de Alta Pressão) inteiramente submarino, várias das quais são proprietárias e serão utilizadas em outras aplicações submarinas. Estes incluem sistemas de separação de gases e bombas de gás denso que permitem a injeção de gás denso rico em CO2.

O projeto Mero 3 no campo do pré-sal do Brasil será o primeiro a utilizar o processo submarino patenteado HISEP® da Petrobras. As tecnologias HISEP® permitem a captura de gases densos ricos em CO2 diretamente do fluxo do poço, movendo parte do processo de separação da plataforma superior para o fundo do mar. Além de reduzir a intensidade das emissões de gases de efeito estufa, as tecnologias HISEP® aumentam a capacidade de produção ao eliminar gargalos na planta de processamento de gases de superfície. Essas tecnologias são apoiadas pela Petrobras e seus parceiros do Consórcio Libra.

O contrato cobre o projeto, engenharia, fabricação e instalação de equipamentos submarinos, incluindo manifolds, tubos flexíveis e rígidos, umbilicais, distribuição de energia, bem como a vida útil dos serviços de campo. O contrato segue um processo licitatório e está alinhado com as diretrizes de pesquisa e desenvolvimento estabelecidas pela Agência Nacional do Petróleo (ANP).
